Kelly has trained and studied as a dancer and teacher of dance gaining professional teaching qualifications in IDTA Street Dance and has taken her IDTA dance examinations within Ballet, Modern Jazz and Stage Dancing.

From the age of 3 Kelly danced at The Brooklyn’s School of Dance and later moved onto Adele Murray’s Academy of Dance, where she gained her IDTA Dance examination credits within both schools.

At the age of 17 Kelly went on to take her dance studies further and got onto a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts where she trained in Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz and Street Dance and went on to further her dance education with a Foundation Degree and BA Honors within Performing Arts.

At the age of 22 she moved down to London to attended Laban’s Contemporary summer school and found work within various dance companies and entertainment events. She taught a wide range of dance from Street, Cheerleading, contemporary and Modern, whilst also working within the entertainment industry for Children’s parties and dance party events. This then took her onto working towards a professional dance teacher qualification In IDTA Street Dance and completing with an Honors.

In 2008 she got an audition and interview in London to work in New York as an assistant choreographer and dance teacher, where she worked alongside Broadway directors and professional dance choreographers in creating Musical theatre shows and catwalk modelling shows. As well as teaching within their performing arts school in Contemporary and Jazz.

After 5 years of working and gaining experience within London and New York, Kelly returned to Hull and worked for her cousin’s dance school Adele Murray’s Academy of Dance and the Space Dance Studios in 2012.

She then went on to work for the Space Dance Studios full time as a creative director from 2015 up to 2018.

Within working at The Space Dance studios Kelly got offered to give performance opportunities to their pupils. In 2016 they performed in New York on Broadways Hard Rock Cafe and London’s West End, Theatre Royal Drury’s Lane.

In 2016 she started a street dance competition team within The Space Dance Studio where they travelled up and down the country competing for many UK street Dance championships.

As part of her career in teaching Kelly has also worked for Many companies that offer wedding dance’s, Children’s parties and dance entertainment events within the UK. With her knowledge and experience she has now gone onto create Kellyography, that offers a wide range of dance parties for all your special occasions and wedding dance packages within Hull and the surrounding areas.
